LEAH PARKER - RMT
Hi, I’m Leah and I’m a graduate from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Cambridge Ontario. I completed the 2200 hour program in 2008 and made my way to banff to work at the Fairmont as an RMT for the past 10 years, and I’ve done guest spots working up at chatter creek cat skiing lodge.
My approach to massage is therapeutic using myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue techniques.
I just recently bought a house in Golden and made the move from Banff!
When I’m not working you can find me doing CrossFit, hanging with my dog Rambo, snowboarding, skiing, mountain and road biking, camping, hiking, golfing and doing fitness competitions.

NANCY VAN ES - RMT
My name is Nancy, and I am a Registered Massage Therapist with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) and the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. I have a 2200hr massage diploma, which I received with honours from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Calgary, AB.
I have extensive training in traditional Swedish Massage. This includes: deep tissue, sport massage, trigger point therapy, TMJ and whiplash treatments, active inhibition techniques, acute and chronic pain relief, treating tension headaches, postural and gait dysfunctions, myofascial release, hydrotherapy and remedial strengthening and stretching techniques. My continuing education has been learning a focused treatment approach to myofascial restrictions.
Some of the continuing education I have used to broaden my practice includes; John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach: Level 1 and Level 2 - This approach is a slow application of sustained pressure into fascial restrictions, tightness or pain. I have also attended Anatomy Trains in Structure and Function - This course is the first step, in a 12 step series in becoming an Anatomy Trains Structural Integrator. This also involves treating the fascial system, in a different way through observing posture and gait patterns and treating the respective fascial chains involved with dysfunctions.
I will always be learning, and moving forward with my practice. I am eager to continue challenging myself so that I may provide an effective, lasting treatment to her patients. Stay tuned for what is next!
A little more about me is that I’m a farm kid from southern Saskatchewan. I moved out to Alberta in 2005, where I fell in love with mountains. Now living in Golden, I love to go skiing in the winter, and challenging myself rock climbing and going out backpacking in the summer.

KRISTI EASTON - RMT
Hi! I'm Kristi and I graduated from Foothills College of Massage Therapy in 2003. Since then I have worked in a variety of clinics, backcountry lodges, and spent 6 years traveling with the Canadian Ski Cross team on the World Cup circuit, including the 2010 Olympics.
I find the human body completely fascinating and I am always excited to learn about the latest science on how we, as practitioners, can help aid in the body's ability to heal and get stronger. I am passionate about injury rehabilitation, athlete development, pre and post natal massage. Patient education is an important part of my treatments, as I believe the more someone understands about their body, the more success they will have in achieving better health and preventing injury.
I have lived in Golden since 2005 and love being a part of this healthy, active community. When I'm not at work I try to spend my time enjoying the amazing mountains that surround us hiking, running, biking or skiing. Recently, I have found a new passion for weight training which has given me a whole new perspective on the importance of cross training and building strength for our regular activities of daily living. I also love food, learning how to grow it, and it's role in health and wellbeing.

SHANNON MACDONALD - RMT
Hi! My name is Shannon and I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria in 2010. Since then I have expanded my experience to include massaging in a backcountry ski lodge, traveling with a team for mountain bike races, and extensive work in a clinical setting where I treated a range of recreational to professional athletes of all ages and abilities, pre and post natal mama's, patients experiencing tempromandibular jaw dysfunction, and everything in-between. I approach massage treatments in a therapeutic manner through combining the use of various modalities such as myofasical release, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue to name a few, and I see the value in educating my patients as well as the continued education of myself.
Having grown up in the Rockies, I've always maintained an active outdoor lifestyle whether it's snowboarding, mountain biking, or a hike with friends. Consequently I understands the importance of a patients desire to maintain their overall physical health or the desire to rehabilitate and get back out there in whatever their passion entails. I also see the benefit in building a strong therapeutic relationship and how that leads to a better more efficient treatment overall.
When I'm not in the clinic you can find me in the snow, on the dirt or hanging out at home with my family and digging in the garden.
