Hi! My name is Shannon and I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria in 2010. Since then I have expanded my experience to include massaging in a backcountry ski lodge, traveling with a team for mountain bike races, and extensive work in a clinical setting where I treated a range of recreational to professional athletes of all ages and abilities, pre and post natal mama's, patients experiencing tempromandibular jaw dysfunction, and everything in-between. I approach massage treatments in a therapeutic manner through combining the use of various modalities such as myofasical release, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue to name a few, and I see the value in educating my patients as well as the continued education of myself.
Having grown up in the Rockies, I've always maintained an active outdoor lifestyle whether it's snowboarding, mountain biking, or a hike with friends. Consequently I understands the importance of a patients desire to maintain their overall physical health or the desire to rehabilitate and get back out there in whatever their passion entails. I also see the benefit in building a strong therapeutic relationship and how that leads to a better more efficient treatment overall.
When I'm not in the clinic you can find me in the snow, on the dirt or hanging out at home drawing, sewing or digging in the garden.
Hi, I’m Leah and I’m a graduate from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Cambridge Ontario. I completed the 2200 hour program in 2008 and made my way to banff to work at the Fairmont as an RMT for the past 10 years, and I’ve done guest spots working up at chatter creek cat skiing lodge.
My approach to massage is therapeutic using myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue techniques.
I just recently bought a house in Golden and made the move from Banff!
When I’m not working you can find me doing CrossFit, hanging with my dog Rambo, snowboarding, skiing, mountain and road biking, camping, hiking, golfing and doing fitness competitions.
